Rewriting our stories of success

The Stories We Tell Ourselves

The stories we tell ourselves about how we can make a difference and achieve success are constantly being rewritten. I am continuously rewriting mine. We are the authors of our reality, shaping it every moment, every day. It is time for a new narrative, a more conscious one, to navigate our changing world.

For years, I have been immersed in the world of business, developing new business models, and striving to make them more sustainable. Yet, I knew I was missing a crucial piece of the puzzle: the inner development of leaders building those businesses. This led me on a transformative journey from consulting to coaching and mentoring entrepreneurs and leaders through times when their roles and organisations are changing.

Now, I bring the most effective techniques into my work, empowering others to gain clarity on how to evolve their leadership roles and contributions – aligned with head, heart, and soul for ultimately more regenerative business. Here are three thoughts about how to evolve your story of success:

Reflect and Let Go

It is not just about learning new things; it is also about letting go of old narratives. For example, what has influenced your definition of success over the years? What has been the effect on yourself, your work, and beyond? Embrace a new way of making sense of multiple crises, rethinking our roles, responses, and interconnectedness.

Understand Your Thinking and Essence

Becoming more conscious means understanding the stories we tell ourselves. It is one of life's most crucial lessons and the key to a regenerative future. Gain clarity on self by asking: What is your essence? What is truly meaningful to you? How do you understand your role as a leader?

Rewrite What Success Means to You

What does success mean to you? Define your purpose and find fulfillment in your career by understanding what is truly meaningful. Whether you are considering a career change at 40 or looking for the next career step, it is essential to align your goals with your core values.

Create Space for Growth

Reflection and rewriting require space. Join us for the Next Level Retreat in Osa Major, Mallorca, or Kruger, South Africa. It is a powerful opportunity to reflect on and rewrite your story for your next level of contribution.

Let us reflect, feel, and experiment our way into a better future. How is your story evolving?

Christina Peters

Founder and Executive Coach

The Art of Self

Christina supports leaders and innovators on their path to purpose & conscious leadership. With over a decade in consulting at boutique firms and Accenture, she has developed digital transformation strategies and build new business models and innovation units for German DAX companies, working with c-level. Six years ago, she began exploring how truly “sustainable” business can work. This journey led her to focus on awareness and leadership development as being crucial to bridging the gap between people, nature & business. Achieving this requires a paradigm shift, learning organisations, and a systemic view of business & value streams.

Direct yet compassionate, and driven yet humble, she has navigated significant personal & professional change. Her holistic experience uniquely positions her to facilitate deep personal & leadership transformation. She is member of the European Association of Supervision & Coaching and has learned directly from various pioneers at the forefront of leadership, such as Gunther Schmidt at Milton-Erickson Institute Heidelberg, Carol Sanford, and Giles Hutchins.

Christina Peters, Executive Coach
